so rapidly rising air, and it breaks through this warm layer and you have instability in the atmosphere. so this fast rising air, helps to create this thunderstorm. and the reason why it is so loud, it is because this warm layer actually traps the sound, near the ground, so it feels like the ground shake something what. one of my collogues say it felt like an earthquake. it is because of that big boom and that warm layer trapping the sound. that is what happened. it was a thunderstorm. same dynamics of the then are storm but during a snow event. right now temperatures still around freezing north and west. philadelphia at 36 degrees. as the snow comes to an a end tonight it will be cold for the next couple of days. for your thanksgiving we're expecting some sunshine with you it will be on the bitter side. overnight the low of 32 degrees. all of the precipitation ending, icy spots, tomorrow, the high of 40 degrees. if you are interested in the eagles game, they don't have to worry about the weather in dallas, temperatures will be around 60 degrees and it will be sunny at kick off at 4:30 against the the cowboys.
